THE JEEP

Malapit nang mag-November 1, kaya’t usong-uso na naman ang iba’t-ibang haunting humors at legendary stories na only in the Philippines lang . Naalala ko tuloy ang kwento sa akin ng isa kong kaibigan tungkol sa biyahe ng jeep sa UP diliman. Kung taga UP ka,siguro alam mo ang kwentong ito.

Si Muelmar Magallanes, isang labing-walong taong gulang na construction worker, sumagip sa buhay ng mahigit 30 katao noong kasagsagan ng bagyong Ondoy. Ayon sa mga website na nakapagtala ng kaganapan nang pagsagip ni Magallanes sa mga biktima ng bagyo noong Setyembre 26,2009 buong tapang niyang ipinain ang kanyang buhay upang mailigtas ang kanyang pamilya. Paulit-ulit na bumalik si Magallanes sa kanilang kalye sa Barangay Bagong Silangan upang tulungan ang mga taong hindi makaalis ng kanilang tahanan ngunit sinawing palad namang hindi nasagip ang kanyang sarili.
